Nissan Australia has issued a recall for over 11,000 petrol-powered Qashqai vehicles due to a potential fire hazard caused by a wiring harness defect.

The recall impacts **11,107 units** of the **2022-2024 Nissan J12 Qashqai**, with a manufacturing defect in the wiring harness near the **12-volt battery**. According to Nissan, the **harness retaining nut** may not have been properly secured during assembly, increasing **electrical resistance** and posing a **fire risk**.
