The NSW Government has confirmed that more than $130 million in toll relief remains unclaimed by motorists. This follows the introduction of a toll relief program by the current Labor government in January 2024.

Under the scheme, motorists can claim up to $340 per week for each tag or licence plate number after spending over $60 on tolls in a single week. The program applies to tolls paid since January 1, 2024.
Total distributed and remaining funds
Since the program began, more than $139 million has already been distributed. However, a further $130 million is still available for eligible motorists to claim.
Deadline for claims
Motorists have until June 30, 2025, to claim toll relief accrued during the 2024 calendar year. Claims are processed through Service NSW using a simple online system that requires linking a toll account to a MyServiceNSW account.
Toll relief claims for the second quarter of 2025 will open on July 9. Claims for toll rebates from the 2025 calendar year can be made until June 30, 2026.
Areas with highest claims
Data from the NSW Government shows that the Western Sydney suburbs of Blacktown, Baulkham Hills, and Auburn have each claimed more than $2 million in toll relief since the scheme started.

Ten other suburbs have surpassed $1 million in claims: Merrylands, Marsden Park, Castle Hill, Quakers Hill, Lakemba, Kellyville, Bankstown, Greystanes, West Pennant Hills, and Punchbowl.
How to claim
Drivers who spent over $60 on tolls in a week are encouraged to:
- Visit the Service NSW website.
- Link their toll account to their MyServiceNSW Account.
- Submit a claim if eligible.
This program is aimed at helping households manage the cost of regular toll road use, particularly in areas where public transport is not a practical alternative.
