Australian hardware giant Bunnings is stepping into the electric vehicle (EV) space, rolling out EV chargers at store locations across Australia and New Zealand without much fanfare.

So far, chargers have been installed at 14 store carparks across Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, and New Zealand. Bunnings confirmed the rollout, noting that another two locations will be added in the coming weeks.
Types of Chargers Available
The chargers being installed include a range of fast-charging options:
- 22kW chargers for standard top-ups
- 50kW chargers for mid-range charging
- 120kW chargers for rapid charging, such as the one found at Bunnings Alexandria
Each station typically features two charging ports with enough space between them to accommodate a variety of vehicle types, including for those with mobility requirements.
Easy Access Through EV Apps
All installed chargers are listed on major EV charging apps, allowing customers to locate and plan their trips to stores accordingly.

More Than Just Charging
In addition to offering public chargers, Bunnings also stocks a range of EV charging products for customers interested in home installation, further supporting the shift to electric transport.
Expansion to Continue
With two more sites already planned, and EV adoption growing, Bunnings’ quiet rollout could soon become a much larger part of its in-store offering.
