Shocking Footage Shared Online

Footage uploaded to social media shows a disturbing altercation between two drivers on Currumburra Road in Ashmore. In the video, traffic is at a standstill as a man exits a white Holden Commodore, approaches a silver Volkswagen ute, and punches through the driver's side window.

Dangerous Chase Captured

Following the initial altercation, the Volkswagen ute makes an illegal U-turn over a median strip and pulls in front of the Commodore. The Commodore driver then swerves around the ute, with both vehicles appearing to engage in a brief and dangerous chase. The footage, now viewed over three million times on Facebook, has ignited public concern over driver behaviour and road safety.

Police Investigating Despite No Complaints

Queensland Police are investigating the incident, although no formal complaint has been made by either party involved. Authorities are seeking to identify and speak with both drivers.

The event has prompted a renewed call for drivers to prioritise safety amid heightened holiday traffic.
