A house fire in Gobbagombalin has left one person requiring medical attention in the early hours of this morning, with authorities treating the blaze as suspicious.
Emergency services responded to a call at 11:53 PM last night reporting a fire at a property on Nellywanna Street in Gobbagombalin. Four Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) trucks carrying 16 firefighters arrived at the scene to find the front room of the house well alight.
The firefighting operation lasted approximately 30 minutes before crews successfully extinguished the blaze. FRNSW personnel remained on site until 1:20 AM to ensure the area was secure.
NSW Police and NSW Ambulance also attended the incident. One occupant of the home was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene. It is currently unclear whether the person required transportation to hospital for further treatment.
Authorities have confirmed they are treating the fire as suspicious. Police have established a crime scene and investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.

This fire comes less then 24-hours after another house was significantly damaged in a separate blaze in Wagga Wagga on Thursday, 12:30am.
